Fall 2012 Fashion For Apple Shaped Women

If you have a thick waist and small hips, then you have an apple shaped body. Don't envy the pear shaped girls and hourglass figures. You too can look shapely and womanly if you dress to flatter your figure and Fall 2008 through Winter 2009 fashion has plenty of outfits made just for you.

Apple Shape Body? Tips to Hide Tummy Bulge

First of all, unlike a pear shaped girl or hourglass figure, an apple girl's waist isn't the narrowest part of her torso. That award goes to her ribcage. So treat the narrowest part of your ribcage as your waist, and suddenly, you've got curves too.

By bringing the waistline of your dresses and tops to your rib cage, the effect seen in empire waist clothes, you get a shapely figure. So focus on empire waist dresses and blouses. They flatter you.

Now for Fall and Winter 2008, dresses are hot and they skim the natural waist. Many of them have empire waists. The lace black dress with long sleeves is in. As is the pretty flowy top with big sleeves. So girl, this is your season.

Start with a new dress. Prints or plain. Colored or neutral. It doesn't matter, other than the fact that it has a high waistline and is in a color or colors that flatter you.

Next, detract from you thick waist by drawing the eye to your arms and legs. You blouse should have full sleeves. The hems of the sleeves should be full and flowy. A longish blouse or top that has an empire waist, but flares below to a full hemline is another plus for you. Pick one such blouse, sheer, or lacy or made of a velvet or silk. Either way, if it is flowy and full in the right places, you'll look more feminine in it.

Finally get one of the black lace dresses that are so hot this season. Pick one with full sleeves, with wide hemlines at the end of each sleeve. Get it in floaty lace, with an empire waist of course. A full hemline for the skirt wouldn't hurt either. Make that your de facto little black dress.

Plus Size Fashion Designers to Admire

When we go to watch a movie at the cinema, we rarely stop and think about all that took place behind the scenes to make the movie possible; the same often happens when we are out and about shopping for clothes, we seldom think about the person who actually created the clothes we buy.

Do’s and Don’ts of Plus Size Fashion

Perhaps, some might not think it very useful to know the background of the people designing the clothes we wear, however I find it interesting and intriguing to get to know more and dig a little deep into the fabric. Just like getting to know what inspires a writer to put thoughts and ideas into words, it is fascinating to me to find out the passions and inspirations of those who design and create the beautiful clothes we wear.

That is why I am today taking a closer look at three unique and intriguing plus size fashion designers, in a bid to bring you a little step closer to those designing the awesome plus size fashions we have available on the market nowadays. Knowing 'where your clothes come from', like a piece of art, will make you cherish them more.

Yuliya Zeltser of IGIGI

A fashion designer born and raised in Ukraine, Yuliya felt the need to provide full figured women with beautiful clothing, when she saw how hard it was for her own mother to find clothes in her size that made her feel like a gorgeous and chic woman. Through IGIGI Yuliya is now able to provide plus size women with clothes which not only make them feel beautiful, but which also accentuate their figure. Yuliya designed from the heart and is also sometimes inspired from her travels around the world and the United States.

Monif of Monif C. Plus Sizes

A very artistic person at heart, Monif C. saw the need plus size women had for stylish and sexy clothing, and embarked on a mission to satisfy this need, and dare we say, Monif is doing a pretty good job at it! Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Monif is inspired by life and her dreams. Her aim is to provide curvy women with colorful plus size fashion which makes them feel stylish, inspired, luxurious and sexy.

Anna Nicole of Jahqoi

Anna Nicole is a rising star in the pus size fashion scene. Coming from Detroit, Michigan, but currently residing in California, Anna began sewing clothes at the tender age of 12. In June 2004 Anna launched ANR apparel as an online retail store, to give curvy women more choices of plus size clothing. She has recently moved the retail site over the newly renamed Jahqoi site. Jahqoi when spelled correctly means: 'I believe' in French. Anna's passion is contemporary, modern, sassy styles.

It is interesting, getting to know a little more about plus size fashion designers and the inspirations behind the clothes we wear. There is a lot more than fabric to a dress, more which can turn a beautiful dress into a meaningful work of art.

Bridal Lingerie - Intimate Apparel Dos and Don'ts

Gone are the days when bride lingerie was all about pure white, goody-goody basic bridal undergarments. Today you can choose from a wide range of bridal lingerie and honeymoon lingerie.(Romantic Honeymoon)

These days there is a beautiful mixture of shades and not just standard white. Some colors and styles have naughty stamped on them while others are elaborate and chic. When shopping bear in mind that today's bridal undergarments are no longer plain jane and simple, but are now luxurious and alluring like any other lingerie and intimate apparel.

Wedding_bra

Bridal Bras 101

Bridal lingerie can be separated into two groups. First, are the kind of bridal undergarments worn under the wedding dress such as bridal bras, long line bras, bridal bustier, or bridal corset and panties. Depending on the kind of wedding dress you choose there are a variety of bridal bra styles.

Here are a few traditional favorites:

  • Strapless bras
  • Long line bras
  • Adhesive bras
  • Balconette bras
  • Demi bra
  • Push up bra

It is very important to faithfully attend all of your wedding dress fittings to make sure that everything feels right. All of your undergarments should be supportive yet invisible to the naked eye. You'll feel like a million when you glide down the aisle wearing the perfect fitting wedding lingerie under your dreamy wedding dress and stylish shoes. As a bride, there should only be grace, elegance and effortless beauty, and that starts with the perfect bridal lingerie undergarments.

Sexy Lingerie For Your Honeymoon

After the long wedding day comes the fun part, the honeymoon lingerie when sheer chemises, sexy nightgowns and romantic lingerie are uncovered. Although the first is important as suitable bridal undergarments to the success of the wedding dress, honeymoon lingerie is just as important for ensuring that you feel fabulous on your honeymoon. The honeymoon is a special moment for a bride to really shine in sexy exotic lingerie and make her husband go weak in the knees!"

Quite possibly, the thought might occur to you that there is really no point in a sheer nightgown and sexy lingerie since it won't be worn for long. It's not that elementary mon ami! We should never forget the magic that can be created with some visual titillation. Slipping on some seductively sexy lingerie can create romantic moments that will last a lifetime.

Bridal Underwear - Do Not Forget:

1. It is always a great idea to shop for your bridal bras and undergarments for wedding and honeymoon well in advance. Be absolutely positive that the bridal undergarments fit well, particularly if you are wearing a bridal bustier. It should be well fitted keeping in mind that it must not be pressing hard against your body and make breathing impossible. Comfort is key.
2. Choose bras and panties that are pretty and fit you well. Fixing of the bra straps and wedgies is a definite no no during the wedding ceremony! Take a look at more than one type of bras and panties just to make sure you have the perfect style for your wedding dress.
3. If you are wearing a garter belt and stockings, ensure that it is not bulky and does not show through the wedding dress.
4. Bring an extra pair of hosiery or pantyhose for your wedding day, just in case. You can never be sure that one pair will last all day.
5. As for the honeymoon lingerie, you should love it. If the style is too daring for you or you don't feel at ease wearing it, you might not feel comfortable and not enjoy yourself. Remember that any wedding night lingerie you choose, be it a silk nightgown or a sexy chemise in lace should highlight your best assets and make you feel ultra sexy and comfy.

Take Back Your Wedding - 27 Unique Wedding Ideas

In an industry bent on recycling the same tired pieces of advice and information, unearthing something fresh and undiscovered in the world of weddings can prove as difficult as predicting the weather for an outdoor spring ceremony. This list of non-traditional or unexpected wedding ideas to incorporate into every wedding detail are guaranteed to set your event apart from the rest.

Tall womens clothing

Dressing to suit your figure is key to a chic and stylish look. No matter how gorgeous your dress is, if it doesn't fit well and flatter your body shape you won't be looking your best. If you're tall then certain dresses will work well with your figure whilst others would look better on a shorter frame. Here is a quick guide on which dresses to go for if you're a tall woman.

Tall Fashions & Long Legs

Because of your tall frame you're able to carry off lots of material. Some shorter women can look drowned by a maxi-dress but your tall figure means the fabric will hang elegantly. Likewise, because you're tall you can carry off big bold prints so don't be afraid to go for a bright tropical print. Whilst you won't be drowned by the amount of fabric, you'll want to avoid being too covered up as you're long limbs will accentuate the amount of material on display. Opt for a sleeveless maxi dress or a maxi dresses with a low back or a plunging neckline. Your skin will create a nice break between the long swathes of material.

Bodycon

If you're tall and have a straight up and down body shape, a bodycon dress is fantastic for creating curves. Most bodycon dresses have a hemline that is just above the knee, which is ideal for the taller lady as your lovely long legs can make short skirts look even shorter, so this length looks ladylike and sophisticated. If your bust needs a little bit of help bodycon dresses are also great for enhancing cleavage.

Shift dress

The slash neckline and three-quarter length sleeves of a shift dress are perfect for the taller figure. This is because shift dresses expose a flattering amount of skin and look great if you have long legs. They're also really flattering if you have any lumps and bumps to hide or if you have a smaller bosom. Opt for a shift dress in a plain block colour and accessories with a long necklace or statement brooch. If you like to stand out in the fashion world go for a bright colour to work this season's colour blocking trend.

Shirt dress

A shirt dress is ideal if you're tall as you can create a flattering neckline by undoing the top couple of buttons on the dress, plus you can add extra feminine curves by nipping the dress in with a belt. If you don't like to add to your height by wearing heels then shirt dresses are great as they look fab with gladiator sandals or brogues. To further elongate your shape wear your shirt dress with a long necklace or long silk scarf.

Asymmetric

With your tall frame you need a striking dress that really shows off your angular figure. Asymmetric dresses will do this fantastically as the diagonal neckline will show off your collarbone and shoulders. Make a statement and opt for a deep and sumptuous colour.

Outdoor Wedding Decoration Ideas

Outdoor weddings are usually popular during the summer or the spring seasons. An out wedding is very vibrant and it is easy to plan it also, since you can use the natural environment and surrounding for the decoration.

Outdoor locations can vary widely, from beaches to botanical gardens to parks to backyards. Flowers, garlands and arches are all used in numerous outdoor ceremonies. Here we will provide you some excellent ideas for outdoor wedding decorations.

Wedding Ceremony Decoration Ideas

Your decoration problems can easily be solved if you choose an appropriate location for such a wedding.

o In a beach you can set white folding chairs and can have a simple wire arch for standing beneath.
o In botanical gardens tropical flowers, exotic plants or brightly colored large arrangements look lovely on pillars or columns next to the bride and groom.
o Parks often have band shells or gazebos that can be used as the focal point of the ceremony. Decorate with lights, tulle, ivy garlands and flowers that match the bridal party flowers.
o In backyard or an outdoor countryside wedding you might require backdrops to help create a more elegant look for the ceremony and photos.

2. Wedding Arch

The wedding arch is very important in an outdoor wedding. You can buy these arches or can even make them at home. Adorn the arch with lovely flowers and ribbons. Decorating arches for an outdoor wedding can be very fun and can be adapted for any type of wedding you may have.

3. Natural beauty of the surroundings

One of the bonuses of an outdoor wedding is the natural beauty around you, lessening your need to decorate. Consider timing your outdoor wedding for sunset where your guests will see you take your vows surrounded by the warm glow of the sun.

4. Floral decorations

Floral decorations and floral centerpiece can be used for an outdoor wedding even if the wedding is at a garden or a park where plenty of flowers bloom. Make sure you use flowers that give a vibrant and colorful setting to the whole atmosphere. Floral arrangements can also be used to fill up empty spaces.

5. Lighting

Lights can give a very alluring and appealing appearance to an outdoor wedding especially if it is in the evening. Using string lights and even customized wedding lanterns can be very stylish. Dim the lights when the guests are dancing, this will create a romantic effect. Even the simplest light arrangements can add a special touch and sparkle to outdoor wedding decorations.

6. Floating candles, balloons and hearts

Floating candles and even rose petals in the water can be a beautiful addition when decorating for an outdoor wedding. They are best to fill up empty spaces in the ground. You can also use balloons and symbolic hearts. They are available in different shapes, sizes and materials and can create a very happy and entertaining ambiance.

7. Other decorating ideas

o Tie chair bows on every other chair or only on the chairs next to the aisle.
o Decorate a wedding trellis or arch with silk flowers before bringing it to the ceremony site.
o Use a white or colored aisle runner to provide a more dressed look to your location.
o Always keep the outdoor wedding decorations according to the theme of the event.

These are some wonderful outdoor wedding decoration ideas that would surely help you to have a memorable wedding ceremony.

Culturally-Inspired Wedding Ceremonies

Marriage is not just about the union of two individuals, embarking on a journey of a lifetime together, bounded before God and man but more specifically, it is about making a room of acceptance for a totally unknown person in your life. Although married life is not at all bed of roses, a vast majority take the deep plunge because, just like in many fairy tale stories with villains and misfortunes, they believe in happy endings.

Unique Wedding Ceremony Rituals - Marriage celebrations vary from one culture to another, depending on the social standing, religion preferences and among others. Nowadays, the financial capability of the couple and their families has become the tool that measures the success of the event although some couples who have the means and ways and are well-placed in the high society prefer to have the celebration at their own whims and satisfaction, taking for granted the dictates of the society while others follow the long-held and cherished customs and traditions.

Indian marriages, which are predominantly arranged, are ritualistic and usually last for days. Traditionally, Indian weddings put more emphasis about two families becoming one socially and not much about two individuals being joined in matrimony. As wedding ceremony lasts for days, it formally starts when the bride is sent to the groom's household. According to Hinduism teachings, the Brahma created man from his right shoulder and woman from his left such that all throughout the ceremony, the woman is seated on the right side of the groom, a place for strangers, and only after the exchange of marital vows that the woman is allowed to sit on the left side of the groom. Indeed, Indian weddings are filled with deeply-embedded rituals that even until now, majority of Indians all over the world still practice.

Islamic culture gives matrimony a different kind of meaning and importance as marriage is not just a religious duty but also a necessity. Just like an Indian wedding which is celebrated with grandeur, an Islamic wedding ceremony is composed of three phases that include pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding rituals. During the wedding, men and women are seated separately while the Imam or Muslim priest reads some verses in the Quran. The ritual is completed once the couple gives their mutual consent, which is considered important to make the union legal. It is only after dinner that the couple is allowed to be seated together with heads covered to read prayers and the Quran between them, allowing them to see each other through a mirror.

Indeed our rich and deeply-rooted cultures and traditions define the way we celebrate wedding ceremonies. Whatever cultural denominations you belong and however way you hold your wedding, the most important part of it is the willingness to accept a person in your life and honoring your vows until the end of time.

Afternoon Wedding Reception Ideas in Winter

There are many wedding reception ideas especially if the reception is scheduled in the winter afternoon. Although it may not be something exceptionally different, you need to consider the venue, menu and the décor. Otherwise most things remain the same. You could very well include dance and music even in the afternoon.

Ideas for an afternoon Wedding Reception Ideas.

-

  • The ideal time for an afternoon wedding reception would be anytime from 2-5pm. You could add a lot of sophistication and style in this.

  • The venue could be a home garden or a local park depending on the number of guests. Preferably it could be arranged outdoors as it is the afternoon time. Whether outdoors or indoors would really depend on the area you stay in and the weather conditions. However, if the weather on a winter afternoon is cool and pleasant, it is fine to keep it outdoors.

  • You could arrange for a tea party in the afternoon. Every time a reception meal need not be an elaborate one. The time of the day should also be considered.

  • Afternoon is an ideal time for tea and snacks. You could have some sandwiches and cookies along with some other finger snacks.

  • You could arrange for 2-3 different flavors of tea and coffee. This will create a variety and would not look like you only served tea for your reception.

  • You can add a Victorian touch to this theme and make this reception an elegant tea party of that era. Hence, a garden or a historical place is perfect for an afternoon wedding reception.

  • You could have plenty of variety in your tea. You could have 2-3 types of herbal tea. One flavor could have ginger, basil and lemon grass. The other could contain lemon and mint leaves. These flavors taste very good and are absolutely healthy especially in winters. The usual black tea could also be an option.

  • Instead of a big cake, you could have 3 tiered small cupcakes for each guest. You could design and decorate it uniquely. Arrange some finger snacks with cheese dips and veggie sandwiches.

  • Use all the winter flowers including dry branches for the decoration and flower arrangement. You could have small vases with fresh flowers as centerpieces.

  • You could arrange for waiters to move around the tea and finger snacks with dip. You could arrange a buffet for the rest of the snacks. You could also serve small desserts and scones.

Women's Clothing Fashion Tips For Tall Women

If you're a taller than average woman it can sometimes be a frustrating experience when you are trying to find the styles of clothing that suit your body structure. When you are looking for women's clothing it shouldn't be a guessing game or a gamble. You will end up wasting a lot of money on clothes that don't suit your height or figure. You should know exactly the kind of women's clothing that suits your body structure and what kind of clothing to stay away from. Below are some helpful tips for taller women so they can fill their wardrobes with the proper types of women's clothing.

Tall women dresses_ Tall women should avoid wearing Women's clothing that have bright and wild prints. Wear a different coloured top than what you wear below. Wearing two different colours above and below will help break up your height. Stick to outfits that have both light and dark colours. As much as possible, stay away from monochromatic women's clothing. Tall women look attractive and appealing with wide belts because it makes their torso appear shorter. A wide belt can be the perfect accessory to a simple a-line dress, a skirt, or even trousers. Belts help define the waist on a tall figured woman so she doesn't seem like one big endless mass. When searching for the right pair of trousers look for those which have cuffs on the bottom. Cuffs at the bottom of your pants will help make you appear shorter than you actually are.

Wear dresses and skirts that end at your shins. Do not bother with dresses that end at your ankles because they will accentuate your height. Other ideal clothing that end below the knee are capris. Shin skirts and dresses and capris are the types of clothing that will reduce the elongated look of your body. Whatever womens clothing you decide to wear make sure they are neither too loose nor too fitted. Your tops should be longer than what you wear below. By wearing a long top and something short below you make you give the impression that you are shorter. Wearing low heeled shoes such as ballet flats will avoid adding height to your already tall frame.

Tall women should use large accessories to match their Womens clothing. If you are wearing earrings select long dangly earrings instead of studs. In this case bigger is better. The same rule applies for purses and hand bags. It looks very odd and disproportionate when a tall woman carries a small purse. You don't want to look like a giant carrying Barbie sized accessories. A tall woman should carry large hand bags in solid colours. By following these tips you will be able to find the right kind of womens clothing for you. A smart shopper has an idea of what clothes to look for before they start shopping. Whatever your figure or frame you should always know what types of womens clothing suit your figure so you can highlight the best qualities of your body.

    Leather Jackets for women

    • It came in shoes first, then in bags, and now it is stealing the hearts of the fairer gender in the form of jackets. Leather has always been a wonder material when it comes to making accessories. Besides the sturdiness of the material that is almost taken for granted, leather is also stealing the show with the variety of looks. The ladies certainly could not stay away from the charm of leather, especially when they were presented with the option of having it on themselves in the form of jacket. Traditionally a garment for men, women's leather jackets have grabbed a chunk of the market and seems to be growing every passing day.

Winter Coat Shapes: Find a Style to Flatter Your Body Type

      Leather_jackets_for_women
Gone are the days when women and girls were cherished only in dresses and skirts, and as we can see on-screen today. Leather garments happen to be the trend of the time. The development of tanning and the range of colors that can be available in leather have also added to the cause of generating considerable stir among the girls for this material. Besides the general black and brown leather jackets and the variations in the shades, leather jackets for women are also available in different shades of pink, red, blue, green, white etc. The texture also differs depending on the type of leather (lamb skin, calf skin etc).

The bomber leather jackets, which were worn in the early 1900's by bomber pilots and were popularized later among the common people, are also an option with the girls. In simple words, it is no longer the sole territory of tough men. The biker jackets have also gained massive popularity among the women not only from the west but from all over the world. The movies that have glorified this material can be held responsible for popularizing leather jackets in all corners of the globe.

Many believe that leather jackets are not feminine enough to be worn by all women. This is, however, not true. While it is a fact that the androgynous fashion quotient is more prominent in leather garment, it is also a fact that there are many different ways of wearing it. When paired with the right accessories, leather can also be given a very feminine touch. The cut and the style of women's leather jacket are usually kept very feminine. The detailing and the curves are maintained in all the right places to bring out and enhance the shape of the wearer.

Leather jackets are usually crafted in ways that it can be worn at any occasion. Some are formal enough to be carried to the work place every day. The same jacket can be paired with other items of clothing to make it suitable for club wear, party wear or, every-other-day grocery shopping wears. Versatility of leather is one of its most appreciated characteristics, and has also appealed to women from all parts of the society. Availability of leather jackets for women is now made simpler by the option of shopping online.

    Romantic Purple Wedding Bouquets

Purple has become one of the most popular colors for weddings recently. It is a very versatile color, and comes in a lovely wide range of shades. These are some ideas for the most romantic purple wedding bouquets.

Orchids are one of the ultimate symbols of bridal luxury, and they come in spectacular shades of purple. A long cascade bouquet of vivid purple orchids would be absolutely fabulous for a formal wedding. The orchids are so breathtaking that it would be best to create the bouquet using only that variety of flower to let them shine in all their glory. The only accent such an impressive bouquet requires is a wide satin ribbon with long streamers trailing down. This would be a gorgeous purple bouquet for any season.

In the springtime, pale lilac and lavender shades are wonderful and fresh. One lovely idea is to add some tiny blueish-purple muscari flowers (also called grape hyacinth) to a mixed bouquet of lavender tulips, mini irises, and lilac spray roses. The combination of sizes, shades, and textures will make for a very interesting bouquet. It would be so pretty to have custom bridal jewelry created in a complementary range of purple tones to wear with a crisp white organza wedding gown.

Another lovely option for a purple bouquet is one made up of roses and lisianthus. Both are blossoms which are available year round, which makes them easy to work with. Pale lavender garden roses combined with white peonies and lilac colored lisianthus would make a magnificent bouquet for a spring garden wedding. A beautiful variation on this would be to substitute sweet peas in several shades of purple for the white peonies. If garden roses are too pricey or hard to get for your wedding, choose a more standard hybrid rose variety and ask the florist to "bloom" the blossoms by hand, which will give them the full look of garden roses.

Purple Flowers Wedding Bouquet - For an autumn wedding, think about incorporating some purple flowers like asters into your bouquets. They are a fairly informal flower variety, but the purple color will add a great touch of romance to your ceremony bouquet. Use the purple asters in an unexpected way, like as a contrast against deep red roses. This would be a rich look for a fall bride with a nice seasonal touch. To tie the two contrasting colors together, wrap the stems with a red and purple plaid ribbon.

Summer brides can enjoy the look of a romantic purple hydrangea bouquet. To make the bouquet even more romantic, mix in elegant white roses and sprays of purple Swarovski crystals. This would be a great way to coordinate with custom crystal bridal jewelry. A large round nosegay arrangement will suit the very round shape of the hydrangeas beautifully. If you wish to add a touch of old-fashioned charm to this bouquet, add trailing streamers of tiny purple orchid petals. It will be a truly special bouquet. The pure romance of purple is simply wonderful for wedding bouquets at any time of the year.

    Fashion, Clothes and Style

For many young and not so young ladies, fashion is their passion. Who can resist a great little black dress or killer pumps? Luckily for them, fashion and haute couture are now accessible to everyone with the dawning of the internet age. A high speed internet hookup, i.e. DSL or satellite internet, gives you full access to the brilliant and vibrant world of high fashion.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of sites dedicated to all things fashion on the net. Most of these are filled with high res photos and fashion collages. You can see the latest creations and designs from top stylists and design houses like Gareth Pugh or Chanel. Many designers and even models keep their own blogs to give you an insider's look behind the scenes of fashion week NY for instance.

The Canadian model Coca Rocha, she of the brilliant red tresses, has her very own blog in which she shares details of her daily life. She often posts quirky videos of her and her fellow model pal Behati hanging out, lip synching to Beyonce and shopping.

Korean supermodel Daul, keeps up her own weblog as well, filled with odd stream of thought ramblings and witty comments.

Ex-Top Model contestant Elyse Sewell pens a highly entertaining and acerbic yet always droll LiveJournal detailing her 'ladyposing' hijinks in Hong Kong and China. She takes great pictures of street meat and old Chinese men playing Mahjong.

There's a whole legion of fashion adoring girls who keep their own rocking blogs. Although they aren't in the industry, per se, their blogs have thousands perhaps millions of admiring fans who've RSSed their favorite scribes to keep up with each and every post.

StyleBubble, penned by one Susanna Lau, a former fashion outsider who now works for Dazed, is renowned for her quirky and distinctive sense of fashion. Her outfits are duly displayed on her blog for all to marvel.

FashionToast is a blog kept by a girl named Rumi, who has had made name for herself in the blogosphere for her keen fashion picks and svelte good looks.

Tavi is a young 12 year old fashion blogger who gets sent garb by her favorite Japanese designers.

Of course, you've also got tons of online stores for the fashion lover. Net-a-porter.com presents high end haute fashion. Bluefly.com compiles clothing from a wide variety of different fashion labels and companies. Delia's has great deals on girl's clothing. For one of a kind, hand made pieces, you can't go wrong with Etsy. Vintage bargain hunters often scour eBay stores. Enokiworld.com also is a great place to go to find brilliant vintage items. Zappos.com carries all the shoes you could ever want.

There are a number of social networking sites based on fashion. Stylehive, for instance allows you to upload outfits and pick and choose different items of clothing to display on your profile page. MyStyle is another example.

There are also quite a few street style sites out there, so you can take a peek at what people are wearing on the streets of Helsinki and Prague or Buenos Aires with a few clicks of your mouse, and a high speed satellite internet connection of course.

2012 Wedding Dress and Hairstyle Trends

2012 is going to be a year of ultra-romance and vintage charm when it comes the design trends in every aspect of weddings, including the wedding dress, accessories, hairstyles, wedding cake and more.

In this competitive market, wedding gown designers are becoming more creative in their designs, making a unique gown for just about every bride. We all have our own vision of what the perfect wedding dress looks like, and chances are, with all of the new designs coming into production, you'll be able to find it!

Here are some of my personal favorite new wedding trends for 2012:

    • Gold accessories are going to be more popular, especially for a fall or winter wedding. Things like gold hair brooches, gold shoes, gold jewelry, and even golden hued wedding gowns. The key to choosing gold accessories with a timeless look, is to choose only one or two that you love. This will keep your look from being too over-the-top.

  • Big layered sheer skirts with lots of interesting details in materials such as chiffon, organza, lace, batiste, crepe, and tulle. Instead of the dress designs you've seen in the past using just one material, dress designers are now incorporating many different materials into one dress, making each one unique.

  • I just love the new corset style bodices with lacing down the back. This is a very sexy yet sophisticated style that goes well with a large ball gown skirt. You'll see a lot of these with intricate detailing using things like beadwork and lace.

  • Vintage inspired wedding gowns with a modern touch. Just choose your favorite era, whether it's the roaring 1920's or a dress inspired from the 1950's, perhaps the dress Marilyn Monroe made famous. I've found a vintage inspired wedding to be a lot of fun! This is your one special day, why not make it your own?

  • Detachable bridal belts can add a unique look to any wedding gown, making it easy to customize the wedding dress you've chosen. Instead of just the colored sash that we've seen on the runways in the past, you now have options in belts that look more like jewelry. They're stunning!

  • Loose and simple hairstyles. Instead of the up-do that looks like it took many grueling hours, styling tools and hairspray to accomplish, think of a more natural look, with loose waves pinned back low on the head or even off to the side.

  • Large hair accessories, such as a gardenia, sparkling brooch with feathers, or a birdcage veil are becoming more popular, but keep your other accessories to a minimum, and let the hair accessory that you have chosen be the focal point.

  • When you think of a pony tail you might think of a more casual affair, but not if you do it right! Low side pony tails look stunning with a one-shoulder wedding dress. This look works best for brides with long hair. Part your hair off to one side and put lots of loose curls in the pony tail. Choose an accessory to go around the band for that finishing touch.
  • Just remember, the only opinion that matters is your own. Try to keep your stress levels low and just go with your instincts. Choose the things that you love, and you shouldn't go wrong.

Perry Ellis - Unlikely Fashion Designer to American Icon

Perry Ellis was an American Designer who was born in 1940 to an average middle class family. He went to college for business administration and later earned his Master's degree in retailing from New York University in 1963. He started his career working in retail as a buyer and merchandiser. Although he could not even sketch a fashion drawing, his ability to understand market demand for fashion and deep understanding of how the whole industry operated led his employer at the time, the Vera Companies, to ask him to design a collection for them. Perry Ellis released his original Portfolio collection of women's sportswear in 1976. His clean cut, casual style earned him acclaim from many women as he created the new classics they wanted for their wardrobes.

Widyaan The Fashion Valley Collection By Shahid Afridi

Perry Ellis first introduced a fragrance to his repertoire with Perry Ellis for Women and Perry Ellis for men in 1985. These scents were light spicy florals that embodied the heart of the Perry Ellis fashion designs. The Perry Ellis for men is still on the market today and is a great inexpensive choice for an evening on the town. Ellis died in 1986, but his name brand continues to flourish even today.

    The Perry Ellis Tradition Continues

Later fragrance introductions from the Perry Ellis collection include 360. Perry Ellis 360 for women which was introduced in 1993 and contains top notes of melon, tangerine, lily, osmathus and cool blue rose. Middle notes consist of lily of the valley, lavender, water lily, and sage. Bottom notes include sandalwood, vanilla, vetiver, and amber. It is a musky floral fragrance and comes in a cylinder shaped white box. Other variations include 360 Red, 360 White and 360 Blue (are you noticing the connection, here?) each with their own unique notes, but enough of a thread that holds them together and a reminder that Perry Ellis was one of the great fashion designers of America. 360 for Men was introduced three years after the women's version and contains notes of bergamot, freesia, lavender, citrus, vetiver and musk.

Other notable Perry Ellis fragrances that are still available today include Perry Ellis Reserve which is a delightful daytime floral fragrance that contains a blend of yellow freesia, marigold, lotus blossom, white violet and lily. The Perry Ellis Reserve for Men, on the other hand is a somewhat simple musky fragrance consisting of amber, musk and wood.

    Conclusion

From humble and perhaps somewhat unexpected beginnings America finds one of her best fashion designers of the 20th century. Perry Ellis designed clothes that could actually be worn by real women (and later men) and not just for runway models. He later transferred this no-nonsense approach to his fragrances. The Perry Ellis tradition has continued despite the designers' death in 1986. Popular Perry Ellis fragrances of today include Perry Ellis 360 for Women (plus the Red, White and Blue versions) and 360 for Men, Perry Ellis Reserve for Men and Women.

Sexy Girls 20's Costumes That Recapture Popular Poses

Girls' costumes from the early days of the previous century when the movies were capturing the imagination of the populace by fashion and glamor are still considerably sexy. There are many aliases that were popular back in the day that still reverberate through the minds of many fashion enthusiasts. They are still much treated as gala wear and are featured in prom nights. This appeal can be traced to the many glamor queens that these outfits are affiliated to, from the same epoch, who also form the poses that can be recaptured by the present wearer.

    Amina Shafaat

There are the film noir' outfits to consider in the first place. These were considerably exposing and quite charming in their elegance. They showed two sides of a woman such as their femininity through the rosy garments while their daring fabrics revealed their domineering side. There are the kerchief garments to look for that feature short dresses. There are also the dark pants and blouses that were worn with boots of the same color. The only relief to these closefitting clothes came in the form of the bright colored bands across the high waist and the trendy bow tie or chord to give an impression. There was also the bonnet of a matching hue to complement the striking pose.

Another alias to search for in the sexy girls' costumes is that which came with an edge rosy color. In certain cases this was attended by scanty head gear such as single leafs of a scarlet color on the hair to give the impression of perpetual youth. These dresses would be worn with sandals or pumps. There were also the pinkish robs to carry by the hand to cover the bosom with when it became too cold outside.

Finally, there is also the sensational pose of assuming the role of a female gangster. There is the usual suit with flared trousers that derives its sexiness from both design and elegance. There is something of the official in it but this still retains a value of being heroic and feminine at the same time. All these outfits can still be relied on common occasions in the present age because they still have something that lingers in the mind of the fans who loved the styles of heroines back then.

Girls 20's costumes play the special role of recapturing the poses of this sensational age at the dawn of cinema and fashion. Girls 20's costumes offer different sexy outfits from that time.

Wedding Planning Tips - Budget Wedding Ideas

When planning your wedding day, if you're like most people, you must plan the event with a budget in mind. Weddings do not necessarily have to have an expensive price tag attached to them, and with careful planning and taking heed to a few tips from people familiar with how to plan for a wedding, costly mistakes can be avoided that will result in considerable savings.

    Finding an Inexpensive Wedding Location
One of the first and probably the most costly item to plan for is the wedding location where you would like to have your ceremony held. There is an abundance of ceremonial venues available no doubt, but as you know, hundreds or even thousands of dollars can be spent on an ideal location. However, if you've considered having an outdoor ceremony, there are many suitable public areas such as state parks or recreational areas that allow marriages to take place free of charge.

     Wedding Budget Ideas

For example, referring to the Lake Tahoe area in Northern California, an area of which I'm very familiar with, weddings take place daily in at least a half dozen locations on the south shore without charge. City and state parks are used and there is no compromise in the beauty of any of the settings just because it is free. These areas are picturesque and most suitable for a ceremonial event. The well-known truth "you get what you pay for" does not apply in this case.

Keep in mind, though, at these particular locations the ceremony is to be performed as what we call "stand-up weddings". What this means is that chairs or arches or any type of structures cannot be setup, although a few chairs and some small decorating with flowers and the like are acceptable.

However, if you decide you would like to go all out and provide chairs for your guests, erect a finely decorated arch and lay a runner down for the bride to make that walk down the aisle of matrimony, quite a few of these sites will allow it if you apply for a permit. Applying for a permit in most cases is neither difficult nor costly. It is simply a matter of contacting the appropriate facility that oversees the site of interest and giving them the details they require.

In the Lake Tahoe area, the cost of the permit for the locations that many wedding planners use when coordinating a wedding can be as low as $15 and range up to approximately $350 in peak wedding season. This entire process of applying and paying for the permit can be done, in many instances, right over the phone. Or, if you want convenience, if you're using a coordinator, they will provide this service, and the cost is usually included in their wedding package prices.

    Professional Low-Cost Ministers
Another and sometimes costly but necessary item on the list of planning a wedding is obtaining a professional minister to perform the ceremony. Again, this cost can be minimal and fit within any budget if you just want simplicity. For example, in the Lake Tahoe area there are quite a few ministers who will travel to the wedding site, perform the service, and even issue and notarize the marriage license the day of your ceremony for under $200. This includes returning the completed license to the county clerks office where it will be recorded, making a certified copy available to you shortly thereafter. What's more, finding these ministers can be as simple as conducting a Google search in the vicinity of your chosen venue.

Although acquiring the services of a licensed minister for under $200 seems rather low, with a small amount of time invested into researching their background and credentials, you can be assured that the quality of the ceremony will not be compromised. If you work with a reputable wedding coordinator, the research in many cases should already be done for you, though additional fees most likely will be paid to the coordinator for providing the service.

If you're not working with a wedding planner and have concerns about the professional experience of a particular minister you are considering or want more than just an officiate who is merely licensed to perform ceremonies, don't be afraid to ask him questions. Do a little probing into his history and see if he has a theological degree or other qualifications for ministering and if he has any affiliation with a local church. Although there are couples who place less emphasis on a minister's background, knowing these things beforehand is a great comfort to many brides and grooms and makes the sacred event of their marriage more genuine.

    Quality Photographers at a Discount
Photography is another area where huge savings can be acquired. Photographers in many areas are plentiful, and the competition is usually fierce. If you hire the services of a major photographic company, particularly one with a well-known reputation, you can expect to pay $1000 or more for your ceremony and reception. However, although a good reputation is quite desirable, there are alternatives to obtain the same quality product from reputable photographers at a discounted price.

The trick is in finding the less known photographers while maintaining excellence, which can ultimately cut the price in half. One way to accomplish this is to once again use the Google search engine. For example, type into Google's search box the keyword phrase "Wedding Photographers" and add the city or town where your wedding is to take place to these keywords. From the search results, don't look at just the top results or the fanciest websites. Rather, scroll down to the bottom of the page or go to the second page of the Google findings and make some phone calls. It's a sure bet you'll find a bargain photographer with an abundance of samples illustrating the quality of his work and capabilities.

Alternately, another method to find a great photographer without the high cost is to contact a wedding planner. Again, make a search in the area of your selected venue and ask a local coordinator for a recommendation. They usually have a list of low-cost but good photographers they work with, and though you're not using their service, most don't mind providing the information.

You'll find in many cases that fees for shooting the ceremony can be done for a flat rate as low as $100, and the reception on an hourly basis ranging from $100 to $175 per hour. Although you won't be given 500 pictures in a wedding album like many high-priced photographers may offer (which may be a little excessive anyway), you should receive ample photographs with the crucial moments of the entire event being captured. If you arrange for the photographer to be at the reception after cocktail hour and after dinner has been served---the time period when there are fewer photo opportunities---you will benefit from additional savings of hundreds of dollars.

The "small guys" will usually be happy to do this for you, and don't think you're getting short-changed on the quality of work. Just be sure to ask for their portfolio and confirm that it's their own work. You may be surprised at the comparable---and often more superior---quality of work you'll receive at a fraction of the cost.

Planning a wedding certainly isn't an easy task. But with a little investigation into the options available and with a little help from those familiar with the business, big weddings with small budgets can be planned. Following some or all of the tips included here can amount to hefty savings, making your special day a little more special by knowing you're getting the best of both worlds---the one you love and the wedding of your dreams at a price you can afford.

Cost-effective budget weddings are a priority for many couples contemplating marriage. To see photographs of some stunning but inexpensive wedding locations in the Tahoe area or to get some ideas of wedding package pricing of a typical Lake Tahoe wedding, visit us at laketahoeweddinginfo.com.

Maybe they can give you some useful advice.

    Bottom-Heavy
Women who carry more weight around their hips and bottom should go for a design that centers on the upper body. A pretty elegant choice is a corset-style bodice with lacing. Don't choose the one with too much gathering of fabric around the waist. That will make your body shape look worse.

As London Fashion Week draws to a close and New York seems a distant memory, we give you all the best tips for dressing on trend the vintage way...

    70's Chic

Winter Boots Fashion Trends for Women 2011 – 2012

This season, the catwalks have been brimming with seventies inspired designs - and we love it! But this revival is less disco diva and more sexy boho secretary. Think sheer and silky pussybow blouses teamed with high waisted flared trousers or shorts. Big floppy hats and hippy dresses will certainly be a summer staple and the maxi dress is here to stay. Another recent trend revival is the jumpsuit that will be bigger than ever this year. And lest we forget the wedge heel - this summer's footwear must!

    Bold Colour

Black is all well and good but we are so glad to see the return of bright and bold colours to the runways! Particularly blocks of orange, yellow, blue and pink! There are some great vintage find in bright colours. For oranges and yellows the best era has to be the swinging sixties and for pinks and electric blue look no further than eighties cocktail dresses and separates. Take colour and experiment - the brave will conquer this summer!

    Elegant Nudes

For a more subtle take on the 2011 trends, sheer and semi sheer nudes are a must. If you are pale skinned then stick to the creamy white nudes, tanned and olive skinned girls should veer towards peachy nudes and mixed race and dark skin-tones should go for nudes with a golden hue. Think floaty chiffon, fluid silk and thin draping satin for real glamour and style.

    Club Tropicana

Moving on from the general floral trend of last spring/summer, this seasons floral print has got be be bold, brash and tropical! Bright shades, large palms and hoola flavours are a must! Look for fitted fifties dresses, vintage pencil skirts and vintage silk scarves to work the tropical trend.

    Into the Blue

Maybe the forthcoming Royal Wedding has got us in the mood but the only colour that really matters this spring/summer is jewel-bright blue. Deep regal toned dresses, fitted jackets, chunky heels and floaty blouses - all in this stunning shade. Have a good look through all eras as there are gems to be found!

And staying firmly with us from last season...

    Lace

Think vintage and you very often think lace - so there has never been a better time to embrace old school style. Lace has been seen everywhere this season, skirts, leggings, tops, dresses, gloves and even body suits. When shopping vintage go for feminine fifties pastels or dramatic eighties Madonna-esque black. And don't be afraid to mix and match a few lace pieces in one ensemble.

    Animal Instinct

It falls in and out of fashion but there is always that huge delight when we can dig out the animal prints once again! Designers have gone crazy for the big cats this season, sticking mainly to black, gold and tan. Go full out with a leopardskin print dress or dip your toes in the water with a cute bag or scarf. Mix with lace or sequins full full on party glam!

    To The Max

Just when you thought maxi dresses were a summer-only staple, the floor length phenomenon has been quite literally sweeping the floors of the very best catwalks. Both skirts and dresses are in, think more glitz and glam than cotton cool. Shop for vintage seventies evening maxi dresses and fifties floor length gowns. Lurex, glitter and sequins are even better!

So it seems you really can buy vintage and stay on trend, as more and more designers take inspiration from the past. And at My Vintage you can even search by trend - making your gorgeous wardrobe updates even easier to find.

A wedding is the best event that can happen in any woman's life. Of course, that is the fulfillment of their favorite fairy tales. That is why only the best things should be for their wedding. It includes of course the best bridal jewelry. But the word "best" differs from other people. You should also put to consideration what is your measurement of the best.

Most brides are having trouble in selecting their wedding band. There are common metal bands but the most elegant bonds so far are those gold bonds. You should be careful in selecting your wedding band. It should fit your size and it should have chemistry in your wedding color. It is also important that you select the band that you really like. Above anything else your comfort should be considered first and foremost because you are the one who is going to wear the band during your wedding.

    Second Tip:

Choose a necklace that coincides with the cut of your wedding gown.

A diamond solitaire can work well with a sweet heart or a V neckline. A pearl or a rhinestone choker can look stunning with a strapless bodice. Chemistry is the best way in making your wedding beautiful.

    Third Tip:

Harmonize your gemstone in your head piece with your other jewels.

It is beautiful to see if the gems from your head to your toe, if there are any, harmonize or have a good blending. This will make you more elegant and more beautiful. The shiny gems make you more attractive as you appear from afar or nearer.

    Fourth Tip:

Your earrings should also coincide with the color or feature of your hair and your headpiece.

Your earrings, although they are small to see from afar, also plays an important role in making you beautiful and lovely in one of the most important event in your life.

    Fifth Tip:

Use your sentimental jewelry or family jewelry in your wedding.

Whatever your family jewelries are you need to find ways how to incorporate them in your wedding. You can wear your mom's necklace, your grandma's earrings and other family jewelry. These will not only make your wedding creative and beautiful but also memorable for you and for your family members. Just imagine how your mother or your grandma would going to be happy by recalling their own weddings too.

    Sixth Tip:

You may also wear a tennis bracelet to complement bare plain gloves and pearl or rhinestone cuffs over your wrists.

This will add to the creativity of your feature on your wedding.

Wedding is an important day to you that is why you only deserved what is the best. To be sure what the best bridal jewelry is for you it is also essential that you consult a fashion expert.
